We are the Kooimas - a young family of 5 dedicated to raising high quality Mini Doodles in Northwest Iowa! We have been raising pups for nearly a decade and are continuously looking for ways to improve what we do. Our focus is on raising happy and healthy puppies that can integrate into your home quickly! We focus mainly on Goldendoodles, Bernedoodles, and Aussiedoodles - ALL Miniatures! We prefer the F1 miniature and F1b miniature generations for their wonderful size, coat, and personality types! It is important to us that the puppy we match you with be an excellent fit for your home!

Where Are We Located?

We are in the middle of somewhere! We know that 3046 Kiwi Ave Sheldon IA 51201 can seem pretty remote at first. We love our rural NW Iowa location for many reasons! We are perfectly situated to allow customers to make a day trip from a variety of places. Some of the most common places our puppies go home to are Sioux Falls, Omaha, Des Moines, Ankeny, Iowa City, Minneapolis, Rochester, Lincoln, Fargo, etc. That being said, we do have pups all over the United States thanks to the IN-CABIN flight nannies we work with! One pup even made us "international" by going to Denmark a few years ago! If you are able to visit in person be sure to ask about our Puppy Map in our Meet & Greet Room. We LOVE adding pins every time we send a pup to a new location!

F1 Mini Goldendoodles

F1 Miniature Goldendoodles are a cross between a Miniature Poodle and a Golden Retriever. This results in a puppy that is essentially 1/2 Miniature Poodle and 1/2 Golden Retriever. This is a wonderful breed with the temperament of a Golden Retriever and the intelligence of a Poodle! Excellent with families of any age! We focus on raising pups that are primarily dark red, medium red, or apricot in color. Often with some fun white markings in the mix! They are generally low to non shedding, mature at 25-35 lbs, and stand about 14 inches at the shoulder. Their size makes them the perfect addition to a family that wants a dog that can keep up with outdoor activities, but still cuddle up indoors. F1 mini's hair coats can vary from wavy to curly.

F1B Mini Goldendoodles

F1B Miniature Goldendoodles are a cross between a F1 Miniature Goldendoodle and a Miniature Poodle. This results in a puppy that is essentially 3/4 Miniature Poodle and 1/4 Golden Retriever. If you are looking for a smaller doodle that is still active, playful and has a wonderful temperament then a F1B might be right for you! While genetics aren't perfectly predictable, our F1B miniature puppies are generally smaller and curlier than our F1 miniature puppies. We focus on raising pups that are primarily dark red, medium red, or apricot in color. Often with some fun white markings in the mix! They are expected to mature around 15-20 lbs and about 12 inches tall at the shoulder. Since our F1B minis are smaller and curlier they are ideally suited for a family that is slightly less active, wanting a smaller dog, or are very concerned about allergy/shedding issues.

F1 Mini Bernedoodles

F1 Miniature Bernedoodles are a cross between a Miniature Poodle and a Bernese Mountain Dog. This results in a puppy that is essentially 1/2 Miniature Poodle and 1/2 Bernese Mountain Dog. This is a wonderful breed with the temperament of a Bernese Mountain Dog and the intelligence of a Poodle! They frequently have "goofy" personalities that bring lots of joy to their families! We focus primarily on raising tri color and blue merle tri color pups! They are generally low to non-shedding, mature at 30-40 lbs, and stand about 20 inches at the shoulder. Their size makes them the perfect addition to a family that wants a dog that can keep up with outdoor activities, but still cuddle up indoors. F1 mini's hair coats can vary from wavy to curly.

F1B Mini Bernedodles

A F1B Miniature Bernedoodle is a cross between an F1 Miniature Bernedoodle and a Miniature Poodle. This results in a puppy that is essentially 3/4 Miniature Poodle and 1/4 Bernese Mountain Dog. Love the F1 Mini Bernedoodles, but looking for a smaller doodle that is still active, playful and has a wonderful temperament? A F1B might be right for you! Fun loving and sometimes silly, they have all the advantages of our F1 Mini Bernedoodles, but in a smaller package! Our F1B Mini Bernedoodles come in a wide range of colors including traditional tri, blue merle tri, red & white, and various parti colors. While genetics aren't perfectly predictable, our F1B miniature puppies are generally smaller and curlier than our F1 miniature puppies. They are expected to mature around 20-35 lbs and about 17 inches tall. Since our F1B minis are smaller and curlier they are ideally suited for a family that is slightly less active, or are very concerned about allergy/shedding issues.

F1 Miniature Aussiedoodles are a cross between a Miniature Poodle and an Australian Shepherd. This results in a puppy that is essentially 1/2 Miniature Poodle and 1/2 Australian Shepherd. This is a wonderful breed with the fun-loving nature of an Australian Shepherd and the intelligence of a Poodle! They love to play and socialize and are sure to bring loads of fun to their families! They come in a fantastic array of colors including traditional tri, blue merle tri, red merle tri, chocolate tri, and more! They are generally low to non-shedding, mature at 20-30 lbs, and stand about 14 inches at the shoulder. Their size makes them the perfect addition to a family that wants a dog that can keep up with outdoor activities, but still cuddle up indoors. F1 miniature's hair coats can vary from wavy to curly.
