F1 Mini Goldendoodle Puppies

Coat & Coloring of Goldendoodles

We focus on raising pups that are primarily dark red, medium red, or apricot in color. Often with some fun white markings in the mix!  F1 mini's hair coats can vary from wavy to curly.

How big are Mini Goldendoodles?

You can expect that once fully mature, they will weigh about 25 to 35 lbs. and stand about 14 inches at the shoulder. Their size makes them the perfect addition to a family that wants a dog that can keep up with outdoor activities but is still cuddle up indoors.

What is the temperament of a miniature Goldendoodle?

This is a wonderful breed with the temperament of a Golden Retriever and the intelligence of a Poodle. Excellent with families of any age!

Are Goldendoodles allergy friendly dogs?

They are generally low to non-shedding. F1 mini's hair coats can vary from wavy to curly. While we represent our dogs as low to non-shedding, we don't go as far as to guarantee a non-shedding dog. The nature of the cross doesn't allow perfect predictions, but the wavier or curlier the pup the less likely shedding is. So, if shedding or allergies is your main concern we recommend choosing a pup whose hair coat coincides with your needs.

Training your miniature Goldendoodle

With the genetic intelligence of a poodle, these dogs are easy to communicate with and respond well to training. We recommend starting early and being consistent to avoid bad habits forming.

Do I have to pick them up in person?

We are perfectly situated to allow customers to make a day trip from a variety of places. Some of the most common places our puppies go home to are Sioux Falls, Omaha, Des Moines, Ankeny, Iowa City, Minneapolis, Rochester, Lincoln, Fargo, etc. That being said, we do have pups all over the United States thanks to the IN-CABIN flight nannies we work with. One pup even made us "international" by going to Denmark a few years ago!

Are puppies trained before you pick them up?

Socialization and development are also very important to us. We begin this process at a very young age with Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS). This begins when the pups are just 3 days old and continues until the pups are 3 weeks old! After ENS we begin our other handling exercises to desensitize pups and make sure they are used to handling. Puppies also experience a number of exposure activities and items. Some of these things include toys (stuffed, rubber, and rope), small steps, hard surface flooring, concrete, gravel, grass/turf, brooms, and a crate.

What about potty training a Goldendoodle puppy?

Once it is safe for pups (weather wise) they have 24/7 indoor/outdoor access via a doggy door. This helps tap into the same instinct that crate training uses. Pups start to go outside to go potty to avoid doing so in their "safe space/den" where they sleep. This helps with potty training in their new homes as they are used to all the "wonderful" weather conditions the Midwest has to offer! While we don't begin any formal training with your pups, we do want them to be well adjusted and ready to be loved by you!

Overall Health

One of the biggest advantages of an F1 Mini Goldendoodle is its overall health. Because this smaller hybrid breed benefits from genetic diversity and a more compact size, it is less likely to inherit many congenital health problems. Their smaller frame also significantly lowers the risk of hip and elbow dysplasia compared to larger dogs.  All of our adults are DNA health tested to prevent puppies from presenting any of the genetic issues that can be tested for.
